James Phillips (J-P)
Chartered Physiotherapist
J-P joined the Myokinetics team bringing with him a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University, where he graduated in 2022. Since qualifying he has been working within the NHS as a rotational physiotherapist, honing his skills across a wide range of clinical settings with a particular love for all things Musculoskeletal.
Throughout his years of study and post-grad practise, J-P has racked up an impressive roster of elite sporting experience. He has worked with Cheshire Rugby and National League 2 Rugby Union teams, including England Touch Rugby, Savvy Panthers Elite 7s and Sale Sharks Women's team. As a consequence he knows better than most what it takes to keep athletes performing at the top of their game.
Sport isn't just work for J-P, it's a way of life. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he is currently a competitive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete and has himself been through the grind of rehabilitating more than a few injuries that threatened to keep him off the mat. That personal experience gives him a level of understanding and empathy that you simply can't learn from a textbook - he genuinely gets what it means to want to get back to the sport you love, and he'll do everything he can to get you there.
